Southbound V-Hires: New Location (as of 9/23/2016)
The new location of GT Express Terminal is situated at Junquera St. corner Sanciangco St., Kamagayan, Cebu City. It provides southbound travelers a station for boarding vans for hire, locally known as v-hires for the following Southern Cebu routes:
- Toledo
- Moalboal
- Simala
- Lutupan
- Pinamungahan
- Naga
- Aloguinsan
- Carcar
- Barili
- Badian
- Samboan
- Oslob
- Other Municipalities
Last April of this year, more than 200 vans-for-hire (v-hire) previously stationed near Compaña Maritima building were temporarily transferred to SM Seaside City Complex in SRP.
As of writing, said temporary terminal has been moved to barangay Kamagayan, beside University of San Carlos (USC) Main Campus.
First trip is 5AM but will entertain passengers as early as 3AM. Last trip is scheduled up to 12 midnight (depending on the number of available passengers).
This is very convenient for me since this new location can easily accessed.
But my question is why not the government allow the citi link be back in operation as it serves a better venue for vhires and other PUJs in Cebu.

It was the ex-Mayor Rama’s directive to close the terminal following the recommendation of the Terminal Accreditation Committee that it has been operating without a mayor’s permit and for owing the city more than P12 million. Though the RTC granted a writ of preliminary injunction in favor of the terminal management, the drivers are hesitant to move back ‘coz they reasoned the location is inconvenient, especially when it rains the area will be flooded and passengers get wet.
Perhaps to utilize the old facility the new government shall have those leaks repaired. Because I think this is the second/ third time the Vhire station has been moved.
please provide contact number of any operators for southbound vhire transpo. thanks 🙂
