Ceres Bus Connects Carcar and Danao (via CBP and CITP)

NORTH TO SOUTH CONNECTIVITY

The Ceres Bus operation will resume Thursday, March 9, 2017, with the newly approved line going to Carcar City and Danao City. Yup, you read that right!

First day of the new operation. Got a chance to take a selfie inside the bus with kuya driver and the conductor.

If you are living somewhere South or North and your office address is located in metro Cebu, then riding from home to your place of work (and vice versa) is now made easier and more convenient. Thanks to the expanded Ceres Bus Transit System, it now plies Carcar and Danao routes respectively. This is an update to the post I published last December 25, 2016 regarding the test run operation of Ceres Bus Transit System in Cebu Business Park (CBP) and Cebu IT Park (CITP). Read previous post HERE.

To give you a quick backgrounder, let’s revisit some of its key features. CBP and CITP, in partnership with Villacar Transit, Inc. (Ceres Liner) envisioned to transform the daily commuting scene in Cebu. With a goal to provide an efficient and convenient mode of transportation to all CBP and CITP customers, BPO and office employees, among others, one-ride trip from North (Danao City) and South (Carcar City) going to their workplace in Cebu City is made possible with this innovative transit system established by Cebu Holdings, Inc., developer of both CBP and CITP.

NEW ROUTE & SCHEDULE

The new route and schedule of Ceres Bus already include trips going to Carcar City and Danao City, summarized in this Ceres Bus Route Guide:

cto to Estate Management of CITP & CBP

The earliest trip is 4:00AM from both Carcar City (Savemore) and Danao City (Bus Terminal) going to CITP and CBP. Last trips in CITP or CBP going back to Carcar or Danao are scheduled at different intervals.

NEW BUS STOPS

The LED sign board reads CARCAR

CITP: The new bus stop is stationed along J.M. Del Mar Avenue (@Globe Building) fronting i1 building. A signage will be available to guide the riders where and when to wait for the Ceres bus. There’s no need to go to the existing Geonzon bus stop fronting AVIDA Riala showroom to ride the Ceres Bus, if the former is more convenient for the customer.

CBP: Cebu Business Park (CBP) has designated two more bus stops in Sumilon Street (@the back of 2Quad) and C. Rosales Ave. (@Ayala Center drop-off Rustans), aside from the already existing bus stops in the estate namely Bohol St. (@Wipro) and Samar Loop (@Skyrise Alpha).

The management is hopeful that with the new routing scheme, the customers will be able to take the Ceres Bus more efficiently and need not go far from one bus stop to the other.

RATE:

The first 5 kilometers is still pegged at Php 25.00 minimum fare and additional P1.65 per suceeding kilometer. Manual ticketing will continuously be implemented similar to regular bus services.
