Jamme’s Campsite: Simple Living with a Majestic Mountain View in Cebu
I guess I just survived the first half of 2021. With the death of my pet husky’s second puppy and hectic thesis proposal hearing and oral defense, I can claim it was really dreadful. Not to mention the strict implementation of what-seemed-liked never-ending community quarantine classifications all over the Philippines and flight cancellations here and there. All I need is a reset. What better way to achieve it than to go on a weekend getaway with my adventure buddies?
My best friends in Cebu namely Elei (@matioramon), Junfer (@iamjumper) and Luigi (@count_gabz) chose Jamme’s Campsite as our host for the last weekend of June this year. Jamme’s Campsite is a private campground nestled in the highlands of Cebu City that offers great rewards and totally a unique venue for your special celebrations. It’s a simple house made of wooden and light materials but boasts a majestic view of the metro’s mountainscape.
What I love about this newest tourist spot in town is that we owned the place all to ourselves. The mountain breeze is also cool so expect a cold stay, especially at night, and make sure to bring jacket or sweater with you. Most of the time, you’ll see a sea of clouds just right in front of you but we only saw a fog when we got there. Gotta catch it next time.
To help you heat up, you can drink a cup of coffee or two. There’s a teapot in the corner where you can heat water. There are cups and other utensils you can use and 3-in-1 coffee sachets for sale. Hot chocolate or hot tea can either be a good alternative.
Your own space is located at the second floor of the cottage so you can already put your belongings and perhaps change outfit or rest for a while. You can see a room that’s good for 2, a hammock, refrigerator, a mini “honesty store”, an extra bed with pillows and blanket, and a wooden railing that keeps you from falling unto the ground. There is also a camping area outside. The kitchen is downstairs, next to the CR.
Although the mobile connectivity is strong for both Globe and Smart, it’s best that you unplug for a day or two and cherish the moment with your friends and loved ones while at the campsite. At Jamme’s Campsite, you can really reconnect with nature, away from the hurly burly of the city. You can enjoy simple living at its best with its back-to-basic set-up.
At night, we played Splendor and Exploding Kittens consecutively while drinking the popular Korean Yakult Soju Cocktail (Soju, yakult and sprite mix). It was like a strategic game plus luck and the presence of your favorite individuals made the moment more enjoyable. After the fun game, we then concluded the day and slept comfortably upstairs.
The following morning, I woke up a little late. We failed to see the sunrise as the weather was not good. Everyone was already up, except me, and preparing for breakfast downstairs. They jokingly greeted me: “Good morning, Your Highness“. I just smiled and waited for all the food to be arranged on the table.
Look at that huge breakfast! It’s like a feast but prepared just for four people! We had cooked rice, corned beef, tocino, ginataang monggo, dried fish, scrambled egg, coffee, chocolate drink, four seasons juice, wheat bread and fresh fruits. After almost an hour, we were all full. We didn’t even finished them all, as expected.
Overall, I had fun in Jamme’s Campsite. It was undeniably a cool place to make memorable moments with your besties and genuinely bond together like never before. Can’t wait to reexperience simple living with a majestic mountainview in Cebu.
Jamme’s Campsite Rental and Contact Number
With just Php 1,500 per night, you can enjoy this place exclusively. The rate is good for four (4) pax and very excess person is Php 350 per head (maximum of 6). You can bring your own food with no corkage fee. Jamme’s Campsite only accepts overnight camping, no day use is allowed.

How To Get To Jamme’s Campsite
Jamme’s Campsite is located at Transcentral Highway, Sitio Lupa, Barangay Sudlon 2 (Lower Cantipla), Cebu City. You may use waze app or google maps for direction. There is a parking area near the basketball court of the jumpoff point. A little hike going to the campsite is non-negotiable but you can manage for sure.
