Evo Nature Camp: My First and Last Glamping Experience with Adventure Buddies
I will be leaving Cebu soon. I don’t know when but I’m pretty sure it would take a very long time to come back. As of planning date, my birthday’s also around the corner so I’ll be celebrating not just my despedida, but also my birthday.
I clearly thought I should invite those persons close to my heart. I didn’t have a hard time deciding. I chose to be with the true-blue Cebuano outdoor junkies, my go-to weekend warriors. Many things were planned out. It all led up to booking a night at Evo Nature Camp.
Evo Nature Camp is a recreational campground nestled in the highlands of Balamban. It offers a fascinating opportunity for guests to experience one-of-a-kind glamping activity while communing with nature, breathing in fresh mountain air and enjoying the expansive views of the forestscape.
This is how it all went down at Evo Nature Camp on my first and last glamping experience with my adventure buddies.
Day 1
Our group rendezvous at Cebu IT Park. I arrived first, followed by Kim (IG @kimville_101) and then Elei (IG matioramon). We went to the Metro Supermarket at AyalaMalls Central Bloc and bought some snacks and beverages. We then proceeded to the van terminal near McDo while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive.
It was a gloomy day but we arrived at Evo Nature Park dry and safe. Thank God! We were welcomed by a tarp at the entrance with a question “Have you tried glamorous camping?“. Well, we were about to! We knew then that one epic adventure awaits!
We proceeded at the reception area and Junfer (IG @iamjumper) confirmed our booking and requested to have our private tent ready. We were told to wait for a minute while they were making sure it’s ready for occupancy. We roamed around, just next to the multi-purpose patio. It has function room, indoor dining seats and outdoor seating section while waiting.
We haven’t had our lunch yet so Luigi (IG @count_gabz) ordered our meals at Araucaria Bistro and Cafe. It is the dedicated restaurant of Evo Nature Park wherein you can have your breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. It offers international cuisine daily that will surely satisfy the gourmand in you.
When the orders arrived, they all smelled very delicious. Mind you, each taste was superb as well! I personally loved the binagoongang rice and lechon kawali. It’s flavorful, not like any other restaurant’s offerings. This, I guarantee with no bias! Look at that Pokémon-themed cake, I didn’t think I can even slice it with its cuteness. Ahhhrgh!
After eating, we then proceeded with the mandatory pictorials of the birthday cake, including blowing the candles. There were two cakes because it was also an advance birthday celebration for Ben (IG @bentoterns). We blew the candle together, took some videos, made our individual wishes and then proceeded with checking in to our tent.
At the back of where I was sitting, we could clearly see PineTree Mountain, the so-called “A Little piece of heaven in Cebu”. Junper , Luigi and I were able to visit and enjoyed its exquisite infinity pool, jacuzzi and other contemporary amenities. We were reminiscing what happened during that day such as Junper bumping into a sliding glass door. TWICE. How hilarious can it get? LOL.

The glamping area is on the sloped side of the hill. We had to take a little hike via a paved pathway leading to our retreat accommodation. It partly rained while we were enjoying our lunch so the concrete stairway was wet and kind of slippery, so we had to watch our steps.
This is how our tent looked like. We rented the fully airconditioned glamping tent with hotel-like amenities. It is actually more pleasing when you see what’s inside the tent. There are two single beds, one queen-size bed, bean bags, carpet, mirror, towels and toiletries. Here, away from the bustle of the city, you can completely break away and simply revel in ease ~ may it be with your family, friends or significant other.
My first and last glamping was really a success. We had fun playing card games, eating snacks, annoying each other and just reminiscing our past adventures. We even had a heart-to-heart discussion regarding our most favorable moments together wherein we almost cried a river. I will surely miss this bunch!
With soft pillows, thick blanket and lights off, we all slept comfortably during our first and only overnight stay with my best friends at Evo Nature Camp this year.
Day 2
Mornings wouldn’t be complete without having a breakfast. Our glamping package had free breakfast so that’s what we did first thing in the morning. I loved the spam, egg and hot coffee while enjoying the scenic views in front of me.
You can view all the amenities of Evo Nature Camp in one photo. The Playground, Glamping Areas, Camping Ground and Crayola Garden. We couldn’t wait to roam around after we had our breakfast.
We had some photo opportunities in the playground. I loved that it is an obstacle course-playground wherein you can reinforce your active lifestyle even just for a little time. There’s no problem if you sweat while playing, the environment is cold so it’s not a bad one, I supposed. There are also gazebos scattered around where you can relax on a hammock or just appreciate the beauty of the surroundings.
Before we headed back to our glamping tent and prepare for check out, I had to try the swing and take some last-minute picture-taking with the lovely crayola garden in the background. I guess it came out very good.
There you go! Add Evo Nature Camp in your list when you’re planning for a glamorous celebration soon and experience a home away from home. ‘Coz at Evo Nature Camp, glamping away isn’t a journey — it is a complete escape.
